Hello, Im a third year Fine Art Student, studying at Byam Shaw, Central Saint Martins. I am looking for 9 performers to sing a cappella, a brand new vocal score, which I am in the process of collaborating on with a composer. The performance will be no longer than 10 minutes. Each performer will be singing separate words, all working within the same harmonic score (think Spem in Alium), but which will at points form a disjuncture. In terms of time commitments:
1. 16th June (day) 1 performance. 2. 23rd June (evening) 2 performances. 3. At least 1 performance during the dates 24th - 27th. As Im a student my finances are severely limited, however, this will provide you with free publicity, the degree show runs from 23rd-27th June, and is attended by approximately 2,000 people, (approx) 600 of which will be at the degree show private view (evening of 23rd). I will be filming the performance for my own documentation, and will therefore provide each performer with a copy... I can also provide bribery incentives such as Cake! This will be a really exciting project to be involved in, where boundaries between disciplines are challenged.
